Blasting Notifications from the Quarry

If you want to be notified when the quarry will be blasting:

The Quarry has set up a system to send out notifications up to three days in advance of their blasting schedule. The information we received from an employee at the Eastside Rock Quarry is the following:

Persons on the RRQ Blasting Advisory List will be provided 3-day notice of all blasting activity by their choice of email, text message, or phone call. If you wish to be included on this list please respond to feedback@eastsiderock.com or by calling 425-441-8278.

If you already signed up but did not receive a notice of the recent blast on Feb 1, 2018, Eastside Rock has stated that they had a glitch in their email system that is now fixed. You may want to sign up again, or give them a call.

Since RRCG won't be getting advanced notice any more than the general public, we strongly urge everyone to sign up with the quarry notification system (outlined above) to get notices directly from the quarry.

Please note the ANSWER from DPER regarding property issues:
24._The quarry operator shall be responsible for any damage to nearby properties, including domestic water supply wells, attributable to blasting on the subject property. Claims for any such damage shall be the responsibility of the affected property owner and the quarry operator to handle directly between themselves, but a failure of the quarry operator to respond in good faith to any such claim may be cause for denial of future grading permits, or prohibition or restriction upon future blasting.
